I've been breaking pencils trying to figure this one out......
Is it possibe in Visio 2013 to creat a Cross Functional Chart containing both horizontal and vertical swimlanes?
I ask ths because I have a diagram I want to create, with vertical swimlanes showing "Business function", and horizontal swimlanes showing "Responsibility/Role". Visio 2013 only lets you have either horizontal or vertical swimlanes. Not both.

I Have installed VS 2010 on x64 bit machine , I have installed a qt plugin for qt 4.8.2 in it.I code is accessing the qt libraries and thir party libraries which are 32 bit. while biulding the code I am getting this error "LNK1112"module machine x64 conflict with target machine x86".
Please le me know how to resolve this error.

Dear All,
I am very new to SCOM and VISIO.
When I link the objects in VISIO to SCOM, I get Available sign with a small size.(On top right corner)
But I need the availability sign with a bigger symbol in size.
To get that, I have to manually change in the "Show Shapesheet". So is there a way to change the default size of these availability signs.

I am working on a timeline for some IT projects.
I am wondering if it is possible to have several Visio Gannt Charts, and then have a dynamic Master Gannt Chart showing my overall project timelines in concert.
IE: I would like to have 3 project gannt charts, and then a master chart showing me overlaid tasks for each so that i can build a weekly todo list of the master chart, and then still have separate project charts.

i'm trying to modify some visio files where i've inserted CAD drowings.
I receive the following error: "An error (1415) occurred during the action Open Object. Visio is unable to edit the Unknown object."
I created these files using Visio 2007 and Autocad 2010.
Now i changed the PC and i have Visio 2010 and Autocad 2013.
The CAD-add in is included in Visio, but seems that there's no relation betweene the object to open and the type of object.
How can i solve this probelm? Unfortunately i don't have the dwg files.

I have tried to no avail to get my line jumps to work on Visio 2013. I have gone into Page Setup/Layout and Routing and changed Line Jumps to Horizontal, Vertical, Last Displayed and First Displayed..... no luck. I have changed the type from Arc to Gap to Square to multi sided....no luck. I have changed the Vertical and Horizontal Size from .667 to 2, enlarged the view.....no luck. I have checked to see if there are global settings that might be affecting this..... no luck!
I have no more hair to pull out and all the toys have been thrown out of the pram. I give up!
I'm new to Visio 2010, but familiar with other Office object models, such as Word. I'd like to write a piece of Visio VBA code that will do exactly what the Replace button (found on the Visio Home Ribbon) dialog does. For example, Find What: "Some Text"; Replace with: "Other Text"; Search: All pages.
I know I could iterate through every page and replace the text shape by shape, but it seems absurd to go through all those steps when clearly there is a Find/Replace method somewhere in Visio that is similar to the one in Word. But I can't find it. Thanks.
My setup:
Windows 10
Office, Visio, Excel, Project all 2016 64 bit
WBS Modeler 32bit (Won't let me install the 64 bit version)
When I select other templates I see the WBS Modeler as a template. I don't get a tab at the top of the Visio screen. Under Data tab I see quick import and custom Import. The custom Import does not have a MS Project option. Any ideas for importing MS Project files or getting the WBS Modeler tab to function?
I go to File/Options/Add-ins and there is no WBS modeler add-in visible to activate.
I have data in a SP
external list, one of the fields holds a date. I would like to visually present this data using Visio Services.
I have drawn the visio diagram using visio
2013 and using visio
webpart I was able to put in the SharePoint 2013 page, but the challenge is now we need to filter the date in the list and expecting the visio diagram to change the data based on the date.
For example : Below is the data which is present in the list and being used for visio for its diagram. Now using a date filter if we filter the Date as 2/23/2015, then we need to change the count for only for 'F'. based on the date filter the data in the visio needs to be filtered. How we can achieve this?

I have a question. Someone sent me a visio org chart of my whole company and i want to take a piece of it and create a new org chart on a separate tab- but keep their format - but have it look and align the way they have it on theirs, as i can't figure out how to do this. i basically am just trying to take a piece of their org chart and create a new one that doesn't have the whole company on it. just a dept.

I am new to visio struggling with visio fit to window. I made a diagram and looks all okay. When I click fit to window then it moves all the way to the right side and become too small. Is it any way I can just fit to window? other thing in which shape I can get this shape? Any help will be appreciated.

I don't suppose there's a way to make Visio give you symbol definitions in Crows Foot diagrams?
Rather, I think it would be nice if you could hover over a symbol and have a definition float over that says "Many or 1" or something like that based on the symbol you are using. That would be useful for people who like me are learning the notation but also people who aren't as technical who need to understand the diagrams as well.
I have created an electrical drawing in Visio. I need to rotate the entire drawing 180 degrees. Using Control A to capture all - the shapes, text boxes, etc. all seem to rotate correctly. However the lines created using Master.31, and some symbols such as Fuse.16 from the Electrical symbols library do not rotate as expected. In fact when rotated the lines are all twisted and scrambled.
Please advise,

I have installed visio 2013 Hebrew on my Windows 8 pro pc. when drawing and using Hebrew every thing display well, however when coping to word or other program or printing the Hebrew reversed. Any solution?

I am getting the "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Visio Professional 2013" window on every load of this program. I have found no resolutions from Google searches. I have tried a full reinstall of Visio, registry modifications (per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2685120?wa=wsignin1.0), tried running it in safe mode (still happens), tried a clean boot (still happens). I'm out of ideas. Does anyone know of a fix?
